Open Access Session: Future Earth Finland – A Broker between Global and Local Sustainability Research

Session sponsored by:

The Finnish Future Earth National Committee for Global Change Research started a new 3-year term in January 2024. The committee aims to help Finnish sustainability researchers get involved in international Future Earth activities like the Global Research Networks (GRN) of Future Earth. Future Earth is a great chance for networking in global research. In this session, we’ll share what Future Earth does internationally and how Finnish researchers can take part. We’ll also introduce the new members of the Finnish Future Earth National Committee. They will talk about their sustainability related research. Everyone from the Finnish research community is welcome to learn about Future Earth, the role of the national committee, and ask questions to the experts. We also welcome international participants to learn about the state of sustainability related research in Finland and discuss the sustainability research in Finland.
